My Artworks

Jeanne Potter has created acrylic paintings of various textures which resemble ancient frescoes and aged wall fragments with heavily distressed surfaces. Botanicals, henna tattoo designs, and Eastern motifs are new themes.

Jeanne uses acrylic mediums to achieve crackle effects and molding paste to add texture and build up layers of color. Fluid acrylics allow her to achieve watercolor effects. Metallic iridescent and interference paints give a wonderful glow.

MOUNTAIN GERMANDER

MOUNTAIN GERMANDER
18 x 24
Acrylic
SOLD

This painting has a wonderful cracked surface with paints flowing through the cracks randomly.  The blue color of the flower blossoms is so intense. This floral image is from a group of 16th century botanical illustrations, many of which I use for inspiration in my paintings. A dear friend bought this for his wife as a Christmas present.
